Call for Papers "Lernen-Wissen-Adaption" Workshop Bioinformatics

The workshop takes place on 24./25. September 2007 at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg.

The workshop covers the application of machine learning to problems in bioinformatics. Techniques of interest include, but are not limited to,

clustering of high-dimensional data,
text-mining in biomedical literature,
reasoning in large ontologies
data integration
statistical modelling

and their application to

whole genome analysis
comparative genomics
gene regulation
protein-protein interaction
signal transduction
proteomics
expression analysis
metabolic networks.

Important dates:

Paper submissions: July 22, 2007
Notification of acceptance: August 14, 2007
Final versions due: August 30, 2007

Submissions should be 6-8 pages and formatted according to the LWA 2007 templates for LaTeX and Word. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. The workshop language will be English.
